Tired of spreading your arms in the middle of the night and traveling back to bed like a zombie because you're afraid of hitting something in the dark? You want to consider night light. At $ 20, the Wise Night Light Kit includes three wireless, battery-powered lights that emit an attractive soft white glow to illuminate dark areas when their integrated sensors detect motion. For indoor use, these small, rectangular lights can be mounted on your wall in minutes without any tools, without an outlet, and can last up to three months on a charge. When their batteries run low, you can recharge them via USB-C, then pop them back on their magnetic mounting plates. You can use them individually, or combine up to 10 together to make them all brighter when the motion is detected. Lights doesn't support apps or voice control, but that doesn't change the fact that it's an affordable and stress-free nighttime lighting solution.

Easy automatic illumination

The Wise Night Light Kit includes three battery-powered, motion-triggered lights, as well as easy-to-pull tape and metal mounting plates to attach to your wall.

Each white, rectangular nightlight measures 3.2 x 2.0 x 0.6 inches (LHD) and weighs 1.8 ounces. Inside each is a disk-to-dawn sensor that detects nightfall, and a passive infrared (PIR) sensor that detects movement within a range of 110 degrees up to a distance of 18 feet.

When lit, they illuminate your wall from above and below the device. They emit 4.5 lumens and have a warm white color of 2,500K, which is like a candle, to illuminate your path at night, not too bright for sleepy eyes.

Unlike Wise Bulb and Wise Bulb Color, it does not support the Night Light app or voice control. But even without app connectivity, you can easily link up to 10 nightlights within 100 feet of each other, so when someone detects motion, they all turn on.

Inside, each nightlight has a 300mAh lithium polymer battery, which can be recharged via USB-C.

Make your way clear.

I installed the Wes Nightlights in just a few minutes, without any help or tools, with the exception of tape measure to give them equal space along the wall of my hallway. You attach a piece of easy-to-pull tape to a metal wall-mounting plate, then glue it to the wall where you want it. Wyze recommends installing lights about 1.6 to 3.9 feet above the ground.

Each nightlight has a built-in magnet, so you can easily place it on a wall-mounted plate and you're ready to go. In the box, Wise also includes three cute animal face stickers that you can optionally place in front of your nightlights to give them some personality.

On the right, each nightlight has an auto on / off / on switch and a USB-C charging port. When turned on, the night lights will be on at all times. When set to auto, they will only light up in a dark environment when the sensor detects movement. Turning them off turns off the lights and the couple resets the network.

To link two or more nightlights so that when a motion is detected they all light up, just switch them all to auto mode. In the first 30 seconds, they will enter peering mode and blink. After 30 seconds, the blink will stop, and they should be paired. To use Nightlight individually, simply switch it to Auto, then wait 30 seconds for the pairing mode to finish.

On the front right, each nightlight has a status light that glows red when the battery is low, and solid red when the battery is charged. When the battery is charged, the status light will turn off.

In terms of battery life, Wise says the Nightlight should last up to 128 days when using Solo in Auto mode, 85 days when connected to others, or 11 hours when always on mode.

To maximize battery life, Wyze recommends charging the night light as soon as the status light glows red. When the battery is low, you can easily remove the nightlight from the mounting plate like any other magnet, and charge it using the USB-C cord. Wise says it will be fully charged in 1.5 to 2 hours.

There's no USB-C cord in the box, so if you don't already have one, you'll need to buy one separately. Wise said it has decided not to add a charging cable to "reduce unnecessary waste", as many people already have one at home, and since some people buy multiple packs of nightlights can. In my experience, you can never have too many charging cables, so I'd prefer a box.

To remove the mounting plate from your wall, simply pull the Easy Bridge Tape tab downwards (as you would a 3M command strip) and it should separate without leaving any residue.

No more dark zones.

I installed all three nightlights in a row on the wall of a hallway, about 1.75 feet above the ground, which falls within the recommended installation height. Following the steps outlined above, I had no problem connecting the three.

In terms of design, they are fairly unsteady, extending only half an inch from the wall. During the day, the non-bright white rectangles look a little weird compared to my otherwise bare pastel mint green wall, but if you're not stubborn like me, or if your walls are white, you probably won't mind. That's what they look like. Recessed wall lights will obviously look better, but they also cost a lot more.

When lit, the lights give off a pleasant warm glow and look great. They are bright enough to help me safely enter the kitchen during a water race last night.

When I put them in my hallway, I can see them being useful along the walls of children's rooms, bathrooms and stairs.

Wise warns that the effectiveness of motion sensors can be affected by ambient temperature, your speed of movement and your body size. In my testing, the nightlights have worked without a problem: they are reliably turned off during the day, then turn on automatically as soon as I (or my son Bill Bradley) reach them in the evening. ?

The linking feature also worked as advertised: when someone detects movement and turns it on, it lights up in seconds. In auto mode, they stay on for a while (about 30 seconds), then turn off automatically until you walk with them again.

Let the (night) light

If you're sick of tripping over shoes and dog toys during nighttime bathroom visits, Wise Night Light may be the best solution. Each ???? 20 box comes with three motion-triggered warm white wall lights that you can use individually in different rooms, or combine together to make them all brighter when the motion is detected. They are easy to install and work well in testing, automatically turning on when people and pets approach at night. Long battery life and easy USB-C recharging add to their appeal. They don't support apps or voice control, but if you're looking for an affordable, reliable, noise-free night lighting solution, Wise Night Light is hard to beat.
